The history of the company dates back to 1963, when it was founded in Cankaya, Izmir, under the name of "Rubalon Komandit Sti." as the first plant producing nylon zippers in Turkey.

In 1975, the plant was moved to the company's own grounds in Pinarbasi, Izmir, where it stands today and the company name was changed to "Ruba Fermuar San. A.S."
